My tutoring experience spans middle and high school settings, where I’ve worked with middle school students on reading comprehension and supported both middle and high school students through life skills programs during my undergraduate studies. One of my proudest accomplishments has been implementing programs that not only focus on academics but also integrate real-life applications. For instance, from my experience working as a Direct Support Professional with in-home services, I simulated everyday scenarios, like budgeting for groceries, to make concepts more relatable and fun. Similarly, while teaching life skills to high schoolers, I’ve led interactive workshops that combine decision-making exercises with activities such as team-building sports, highlighting the importance of collaboration and critical thinking. My teaching philosophy centers around creating an engaging, supportive environment where learning is not just about passing exams but also about nurturing confidence and independence. I tailor my approach to fit the unique learning styles of each student, ensuring that every individual feels valued and empowered. Whether it’s breaking down complex math problems or helping students develop essential life skills, my goal is to help every student unlock their full potential. Outside tutoring, I enjoy playing beach volleyball, cooking, and spending quality time with family and loved ones. These activities remind me of the balance and fulfillment I aim to inspire in my students.
